Tribal Soul: Monthly Drum and Dance Circle at The Green Man

The Inner Temple, in conjunction with Burl Bolerjack, is thrilled to bring you a monthly extravaganza of drum, dance, and sacred communion!  Join us on Sunday, June 3rd in celebration of our tribal soul and all that waits to be reclaimed!

Tribal Soul begins at 11:00am with Dance of the Goddess, as Lady Oxannamoon and Tribe awaken the dancing goddess within each of us! 

The pot begins to simmer at noon, when all drummers are invited to join us as we explore the ecstatic relationship between the drum and the dance, through organic, spontaneous sound and movement!

At 12:30pm a rolling boil is reached when the circle is opened to all!  Come and play with us, dear friends!  Find the freeing meditation that is the Drum Circle - dance and drum and raise your voices in jubilation, and revel in the long lost bliss of community! 

Please bring your drums and other instruments, as well as something delicious to nibble!

Burl Bolerjack has been leading community drum circles for The Spiritual Unity Movement throughout the greater Los Angeles area for many years.  Burl specializes in encouraging participants toward a meditative, communal state using the spirit of his drum and the collective energy of our shared experience!

Dance of the Goddess is Lady Oxannamoon's approach to Middle Eastern dance, commonly known as bellydance.  Dance of the Goddess begins in bellydance, and then blends textural elements of dance from indigenous cultures around the world, to create body movement that is a truly organic expression of the Dancing Goddess within!

I have been studying dance for most of my life - styles and techniques that claim their genesis from all over the world; and I can tell you without hesitation that this kind of dance already lives inside of you in a way that nothing else does...all we need to do is awaken it!  And it is such amazing exercise – girrls, I have control over muscles that at one time, I didn’t even know that I had - so come and shimmy with me! ~   Lady Oxannamoon
